Synopsis

John Baker Jr.(Haas), a bored and awkward prep school senior, is jolted awake when he finds beautiful twentysomething Patty Vare (Ryder) lying unconscious near the academy. It soon becomes clear that she's harboring a terrible secret, involving her and a famous pitcher--who now happens to be missing. To help Patty evade the cops, John hides her in his dorm room. Which describes this rubbish as "exciting cinema that you won't want to miss" because believe me when I say that you will.For one thing there is little sophisticated about Winona Ryders character in this film,for we are expected sto believe she willingly shags a boy about 7 or 8 years younger than her than falls for him? Lukas Haas plays his role as a mixed up teenage schoolboy OK but John C Relly thankfully, has since been given access to much better scripts than in this.And the "terrible secret she is running away from?" Don't bother to find out!

`Boys` is a romantic coming of age drama about a runaway girl who falls for a rich college boy unfulfilled with his life.They find some comfort in each other and go on to fall in love.

While it coould have had a better ending it still has charm and it's still a decent film to watch on a late afternoon.
