Sure, most self-respecting fans of the ultimate singles band will have most of the songs here. Indeed, anyone who owns the back catalogue from the debut album Blondie to 1982's The Hunter will have the vast majority of tracks included here. There are only a handful of rarities, many of which have long since resurfaced as bonus tracks on reissues.

So why buy this box set? Quite simply, it's gorgeous. The chance to see the original single artwork (front and back covers) is a great reminder of a bygone era, and the 5"x5"x2" Parallel Lines-striped box will look handsome amid any CD collection. What's more, there are a few songs that even a dedicated Blondie fan may not own: an instrumental Heart Of Glass; special disco mixes of Rapture and Live It Up; the full French version of Sunday Girl (not the hybrid that appeared on the Best Of Blondie compilation); multiple versions of Call Me including a Spanish version.

That said, those obsessive fans who owns all the above rarities will of course snap this up in an instant. Some extra liner notes with chart placings and production details wouldn't have gone amiss, but let's not quibble too much. One way or another, the Blondie Singles Box is cooler than ice cream but still as sweet. Now, where can I buy an Andy Warhol's Bad t-shirt?

Great packaging, a must have for any Blondie fan especcially for the sound quality! I would have rate this with 5 stars if the US singles One Way Or Another, The Hardest Part and the dutch hit I'm Gonna Love You Too where included. But unfortunately it isn't.

For the Blondie fans this is an excellent buy: every single is in it's original cover. For the casual fan I recommend Blondie's Greatest Hits instead of this one you get more hits for less money.

For anyone who hasn't been around along enough to have bought the original copies of the many Blondie singles or for those who wish to upgrade their collection from 7" records to 5" CD's, this is a little gift from EMI. Each CD is expertly remastered to the highest possible quality from the original recordings. Each CD contains the orginal tracklistings and the orignal picture sleves.

The particular highlights of this boxed-set are Denis, Rapture and Call Me [featuring the very rare Spanish version of the song].

This boxed-set is fantastically presented and a must have for any Blondie fan old or new.
