We all know Linda Ronstadt as a POP and C&W star since the 70's and
can be considered as an important artist (# 52 on the Pop history
list of all times and # 173 on the Country list according to Billboard).
Lesser known are her singing abilities in other musical areas such as
Mexican and American folk music. This DVD shows the different kinds
of folk music from Mexico where her roots are from. The music and her
incredible voice seem to fit each other perfectly. She really sounds
Mexican and the set-up is splendid with regional dances. If you like
Mexican folklore THIS IS A MUST. If you're not familiar with it try
and see how wonderful MUSIC can be treated and interpreted. It is really
astonishing on how an artist can be so perfect on any kind of music.
Add to that the sound quality (fantastic!) and you will experience one of
the best musical DVD's around.

I came to this DVD as a Linda Ronstadt fan, knowing nothing of Mexican music. I expected to be interested in the variety of Linda's work but instead was enthralled by the whole thing. I shouldn't continue to be amazed by the power, subtlety, ability to convey emotion etc which Linda's voice has but I was. Not only that, the sheer enjoyment Linda, all the musicians, dancers and the audience too show is infectious. "Perfect" has been used by another reviewer of this DVD and I totally agree with that comment.

A "must see" for Linda Ronstadt fans and indeed for anyone who wants to see and hear an outstanding singer performing songs she clearly loves.
