Product Description

Product Description

* res ColorPlus now supports Mac OSX, as well as Windows platforms ColorPlus corrects your CRT, LCD, or notebook monitors for accurate and consistent colour ? day-to-day and image-to image. No. If you are reading this, it probably means that you have been trying to print photographs from your computer and are unhappy with the results. You ve tried adjusting your monitor, and adjusting your printer, and still, you re getting poor results. Worse, it seems like you have entered an endless loop - a digital Twilight Zone - where one adjustment creates an unwelcome result somewhere else. No. All you really want to do is get your prints to match what you see on your screen. In today s digital darkroom, we rely on the monitor to accurately display our digital images and photographs. It is the soft proof by which we judge our prints. If you cannot trust what you see on your monitor, how can you be sure of what you print? Therefore, virtually all colour guru s strongly recommend to calibrate your monitor on a periodic basis. This is the first most important step in gaining control of your digital darkroom. This gives you a stake in the ground. No. Requirements: No. A CRT or LCD monitor (including laptop displays) No. Windows? 98, ME, 2000 or XP operating software No. Mac OS X10.2 or better No. A USB port No. Note: ColorPlus is an entry level application with a pre-defined gamma setting of 2.2 and whitepoint of 6500 (CRT) and Native (LCD). These settings cannot be altered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colorplus is affordable quality and here to help, 9 May 2005
By June Jackson (Leeds, West Yorkshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
My monitor was set in my opinion with a blue cast. Whites were not displayed as true whites but a brilliant blue white. After calibration with Colorplus the screen took on a rosy pink look but I soon realised this was an illusion after years of peering at a bright blue-white screen. After my eyes adapted, the difference was fantastic with greater colour and tonal rendition. By putting Colorplus into practice I certaily achieve much better colour displays that compares much closer to my prints. Well worth the investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars printouts - from rubbish to useful, 14 April 2006
By S. Holmes (chesterfield, uk) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
for too long i have attempted to tweak photos by tinkering with the brightness and contrast. I tried to calibrate my screen with adobe gamma, but i think my eyesight must suck, causeafter using this hardware profiler my screen looked very different. Now all i do is bump the brighness up by 10% and hey presto, all screen images look perfect when printed out.

I would recommend this product to anyone in the same boat (after all photo quality inkjet paper and ink are expensive commodities to waste).

5.0 out of 5 stars A revelation in fron of my eyes, 23 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This piece of kit has turned out to be perhaps the best investment I have made in some time. It was easy to use - I really had nothing to do as everything is wizard driven and it worked. Now my screen is a lot more accurate and importantly prints that I produce are a very close match to the screen. I have a lot less wastage in ink and paper.

A happy cusotmer!!
