If you are thinking of buying this. Dont. It is the worse purchse I have made. I bought it to shred the odd envolope, bank statement etc. It does not shred to 3mm but only to 6mm, which is a big difference. Secondly it states it can cope with 5 sheets at the same time? It cant cope with a single sheet at a time. It gets blocked easily and the auto switch broke after approx 20 sheets of paper.

....on the website this shredder claims to shred paper into 3mm strips. On receipt of the actual item the box states it shreds paper into 6mm strips - on testing 1 sheet it is in fact 6mm. I've now got to go through the inconvenience of returning this item. The returns policy states that you have to pay for items to be returned if they're not faulty or a mistake has not been made - well this item is certainly not fit for the purpose for which it was intended, which was to shred paper into 3mm strips as advertised...not best pleased!

It just doesn't do what it says on the box!
It overheats and blows the fuse if you do more than a few individual sheets in a row. If you do a batch of say 3 A4 80gm sheets together, it overheats and blows the fuse. It consistently drags the paper through the shredding mechanism at an angle which then encourages jamming. If you increase the fuse size, it doesn't make any noticeable difference to the point at which it blows.
Altogether a waste of money. Don't bother.
