Smart, stylish and lightweight. Weighing less than an ounce, FreeSpeak 250 is made of a soft, sound-absorbing elastomer material that reduces distortions, resulting in crisp sound quality. The earpiece and microphone boom fit behind either ear for a comfortable, secure fit. The earpiece also features the new JABRA MiniGel, an evolution of our patented EarGel. This soft, ergonomic gel tip channels sound directly into your ear for better reception. This improves your ability to hear conversations clearly even in noisy environments.

Charging cradle (charger/holder) FreeSpeak 250 comes with a charging cradle which doubles as the headset holder. The charging cradle includes a snap-on clip to hold the earpiece to your belt or purse when not in use.

    The Jabra BT250 is a godsend for people who want to stay within the boundary of the new UK driving laws, without butchering the dashboard of their car for a permanent kit.

    Call quality between the Jabra BT250 and my current handset (a Nokia 6310i) is superb, with many callers questioning the fact that I am even driving at all, when speaking via the BT250 in the car.

    Battery life is superb, with up to a week on standby, using the Jabra for perhaps 30-40 minutes per day. Charge time is about 2 hours from totally flat. Placing the headset into your ear takes a little getting used to, and some 'ear-lobe abuse' took place over the first few days, until I became accustomed to slipping the headset on correctly.

    The unit works best with 1-2 metres of the phone; much further than this and the call quality starts to degrade a little (manifests itself as a background crackle). However, this distance is fine for the car - the headset is in my right ear, and the phone is on the passenger seat.

    The Jabra BT250 is provided with four 'mini-gels'; two large and two small, depending on what you find most comfortable, you can use either size.

    Overall, this is a superb product, which expands on the already good quality of its predecessor, the BT200. The main bonus is the extended battery life - with a week's standby, this headset is worth the extra £10.

    Amazon's price is the best you will find - Editor's Choice for safe hands-free driving this Summer!

    Today, I spent 4 hours trawling around all my local phone shops, and tried on literally a dozen different headsets and this is the only one that would fit my ear. Definately worth a purchase if you have anything other than midget-sized ears, as the headset is really flexible yet strong.

    The mini-gel earpieces are also fantastic, as there are two different sizes included with the headset, and spares should they ever break. There is also a belt clip included - handy should you ever want to take the headset off (that's if you remember you're wearing it after 5 minutes use).

    As for the call quality, I am using mine on a v500, and I can only say that I'm shocked. Not only can I hear people talking more clearly than with my phone, they can also here me more clearly too. The Jabra BT250 is worth every penny.

    This headset is pretty good. Unlike the 200, this one has much better talk time and standby time. Also unlike others on offer, the 250 sits so comfortably behind the ear, you can barely feel it. It is neatly tucked away behind the ear. The downside is that calls can be a bit crackly if you stray too far from the phone but on the whole a great device. I use it with my Nokia 6310 and Sony Ericcson T610i with ease.
