The most underated and untalked about band in the industry . They constantly produce the most superb music with the most excellent of vocals. You will never regret buying a HHF album and this latest offering is no exception, they are truely excellent. BUY IT.

Having followed Hothouse Flowers since the 'Home' album, thoroughly enjoying most of their work and having concert tickets for the new album tour already in the bag, I was looking forward immensly to this release. Alas, it doesn't even come close to living up to my expectations. There is nothing particularly wrong with any of the songs individually, it's just an album full of uninspiring mid-tempo soul tracks. Maybe it has just been over-produced, but the material displays none of the edge that can be found on 'Born' or 'Home', and none of the majesty that can be found on 'Songs From The Rain'. The whole set just lingers there, without doing anything very interesting at all. Even the addition of the live favourite at the end seems to be as an afterthought.

Simply put, if you like innoffensive middle-of-the-road pop/soul you'll probably love this album. If you're looking for the band you saw live you'll be disappointed.

Oh, dear. I too own everything I could get my hands on since I first cried at (people's) Hallelujah Jordan. I too consider them one of the best bands you could've ever have seen live. But hells bells ... how did they become this soulless? From evidence of Liam's voice having gone - The End Of The Road, Better Man - to muzak that the Lighthouse Family would reject - George Harrison rip-off Hallelujah - this is simply poor. Syrupy production doesn't help - Tell Me could've been made to bounce but it doesn't - but try as I might, and I HAVE tried, I simply cannot find any heart or passion here. My copy is heading for the used for sale section. Sorry boys but I'll be borrowing before I buy in future.
