The two albums on one CD presents you with "Shades of Blue" which was The Don Rendell, and Ian Carr quintets first LP. It contains the seminal "Shades Of Blue" track itself. This is a modal LP that Miles would have been proud of. "Dusk Fire" again contains a magnificent set of tracks some penned by Michael Garrick who had joined the group by the time the second LP was issued. He became an important member amongst the writing team in the group. To purchase these LP's on vinyl if you could find them would cost around 1200 pounds stirling.
This is an important re-issue and should be in your collection.
