5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and exhilarating!, 9 April 2004
This is a great keepsake for all Placebo fans. The band are energetic and crowd-oriented in this live DVD, and would bring back loads of happy memories for anyone who's been to one of their gigs. The band is bouncy, smiley and fun, especially Brian. The set list focuses on the latest album Sleeping With Ghosts, but there are a few select favourites from older albums, such as the likes of fantastic 'Without You I'm Nothing', 'Special K', 'Bionic', as well as crowd-pleasers such as 'Pure Morning' or 'Every You Every Me'. There's no doubt that the track listing could have been better, for example with the inclusion of 'Teenage Angst' and 'My Sweet Prince', but it nevertheless is a very solid performance canvassing Placebo's career to date. Highlights for me include the excellent 'Soulmates' ('Sleeping With Ghosts' rock version), 'Where is My Mind' (with guest star Frank Black) and 'Protège Moi'.

The documentary is great! Stefan's 'gay dancing' is worth the price of the DVD alone. Some awesome on-the-road footage and just a fun, general look at the band behind the scenes. Placebo is one of those bands that makes you fall in love with its charismatic members, and the documentary will show you why.

There are two hidden scenes in the DVD. The first is Brian getting an injection and features a longer shot of 'Brian butt' that appeared for a split second in the documentary. It can be accessed through the main menu, by selecting 'set list' with your cursor and pressing the up button on your remote. The second hidden scene is candid footage of the band at a club performance, wearing women's wigs. That one can be accessed first by going to the 'audio' menu, selecting the 'stereo' option with your cursor, and then pressing the up button.

A must-have for all Placebo fans! And remember to show it to your non-Placebo-fan friends because they'll be converted after that!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Music DVDs ever..., 20 Feb 2004
By A Customer
I've been lucky enough to see a review copy of this title and can safely say its amazing. Its what the format was invented for - and will answer any critics of the band. Highlights are endless - but Protect Me sung in French in front of a manic Parisian crowd takes some beating.

The documentary is hilarious, touching and enjoyable too.

Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Placebo rock Paris like never before, 13 Feb 2004
This is a DVD of one of the greatest moments in Placebo's career. This is a full length DVD of the sold out gig at the 18,000 person Paris Bercy. There is also docmentary footage of the band on tour in Europe. This is the first concert DVD they have released and will not disappoint. Stand out points from this gig were the french language version of 'Protect Me From What I Want' and the colaboration with Frank Black (The Pixies) on the cover of 'Where Is My Mind' As a veteran of many Placebo gigs and someone who was at the Bercy show I can say this was a fantastic preformance that lives up to the bands usual high standards. A must buy item for anyone who likes Placebo.
