Synopsis
Over a dozen young men tell their stories in this slick, beautifully shot documentary about teenage hustlers in Prague. As Prague became a thriving economic center of the new Eastern Europe, it also became a magnet for tourists from all over the world looking for sex. Young Czech men trying to earn some quick money in these first heady days of capitalism found an easy outlet in prostitution. The young hustlers speak of their lives with an unnerving nonchalance; it is their blunt talk about their profession that propels the film.

An amature t.v. style documentary. If you haven't seen 'Body Without Soul', then you won't be dissapointed with 'Not Angels But Angels'. This is merely a documentary as the description states. However, I have seen 'Body Without Soul', which is also a documentary film but in my opinion much better. The running time is longer. The quality and content is much better. I don't know why 'Not Angels But Angels' was released it's more of a shortened version of Body Without Soul. In short, if you have a choice, go for Body Without Soul and skip this one. To buy both, as I did, was a waste of time and money.

I have watched this knowing that this director based on the experiences in this film went on to make the shocking and sad film "Mandragora". The interviews are straight up but they lack any real depth. while it was interesting it was not something that touches the heart or it worth buying. ok for rental but nothing else.
