3.0 out of 5 stars Great Game - Full Of Glitches Though!, 9 Jul 2004
By A Customer
Well after ordering Showdown: Legends Of Wrestling I eagerly awated it's arrival. On delivery whacked it straight into my PS2 and got going. Awsome! I thought. All the old wrestlers from way back to some of the more recent were there to choose. Excellent!

After choosing a quick match to play I got going with Andre the Giant. Fantastic. But then unfortunately (and this happens very often) the commentators started playing up and talking gibberish, like a record had got stuck. This can be very annoying after a few minutes of it. I even tried turning the commentators volume off but every now and then a voice pops in (again like a stuck record). Also you sometimes execute a move on an opponent and it is totally out of sync with what should be happening!

This is a good game but could be a lot better.

It is full of Glitches.

But it's still fun.

Until next time....

5.0 out of 5 stars The Legends are laying the SHOWDOWN on your candy a**!, 24 Feb 2004

Showdown so far looks to be a big improvement on last years Legends game. Sting, The Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes, Diamond Dallas Page and Jake 'the snake' Roberts have all been aded to the roster bringing it to a total of 70 wrestlers. The Bad news is that Hulk Hogan may not be there but anything is possible. The career mode has been change to a feud driven mode thats sounds really good. That means you can relive the classic feuds like Terry Funk and Harley Race or Jerry Lawler and Bret Hart. Another great feature added is the table match! Now if that ain't reason to go Sabu I don't know what is! And, the controls have changed bringing more excitement to matches and a more evolved gameplay. Plus the moveset has expanded making matches longer.
So fingers crossed, these features point to a better LOW game and after all, this is the only way you're going to see Sting face The Ultimate Warrior!

1.0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!, 24 Jul 2004
By A Customer
I AM A WRESTLING FAN AND A LOVER OF THIS GENRE OF GAMES AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS IS THE WORST I HAVE PLAYED SINCE THE EARLY ARCADE VERSIONS ON THE PS ONE!!

ITS SLOW, GLITCHY AND WITH VERY LITTLE TO DO - BEST BET IS TO WAIT FOR SMACKDOWN VS RAW!!
