2.0 out of 5 stars PISS POOR, 17 Jul 2004
By A Customer
I Bought this game on impulse thinking that finally a decent Wrestling game had been released on the XBOX (Previous efforts Raw, Raw 2 and the other Legends game falling seriously short on gameplay and control method.

OH dear. What a crock. It essentially ends up being another button basher, with some programing bugs that are simply unforgivable. ( Getting hit while opponent is over other side of ring. Breaking out of a pin only to have your opponent still pinning an imaginary person, which results in your elimination. and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

There used to be a Game on the N64 called No mercy. I suggest the creators of this game and the other wrestling Games on the Xbox take a good look. Yes it looks dated now, but the control method was excellent, easy to learn and easy to master.

Hopefully the next wrestling game will be better (but I wouldn't hold my breath)

3.0 out of 5 stars Legends At Thier Best, 30 Jul 2004
3/5 A Fair Attempt

No real improvement on the previous game (Legends Of Wrestling II).

Good Points :-
- Improved Sound(The Music And Entrances Are Alot Better)
- Fairly Decent Graphics(Good Similarities In Wrestler Apperance)
- More Match Types(Table,Ironman 30 and 60 Minutes,Ladder ETC...)

Bad Points :-
- Poor Season Mode (Only 16 Matches In Total)
- Game Speed (It's a Slow Game)
- Poor AI (Players Running In To Turnbuckles By Themselves)

Extras :-
- Memorial (Adds a Nice Sympathetic Touch)
- Bret Hart Tutorials (The Game Explained And Tought)

My final thought on this game, it's a fair game. If you see below £20 give it a shot. Don't pay the full £40 or £30 for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to the old school, 9 Jul 2004
This is wrestling at its old best. After the last 2 previous attempts Aklaim have struck gold. In this game you will find over 70 of the greatest wrestlers of all time, from Andre the Giant to Scott Steiner and they are all here with finish moves and taunts even theme tunes are pretty damm good. Game play is good with easy to control moves and counters and graphics like watching on telly. Lots of modes mean hours of fun with different matches and costumes. Another great feature is the commentary by Tony Schivone, Bobby Heenan which actually follows the action on screen. If you enjoyed wrestling in the 80s and 90s then you will love this, you may even find yourself dusting off the old vids and watching them again.
