Product Description

Product Description

In the world of underground fighting, fists do the talking and the fight isn't over until someone goes limp, taps out, or is beaten. Players will be engrossed in this gritty, visceral world by fighting as one of the many characters from the gripping film. Fight Club, a "no-holds-barred" fighting game, will portray the brutality of street fighting while encompassing the action and story elements from the movie with intense visuals, untraditional moves, and bare-knuckle destruction.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fight Club For PS2, 2 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Just got the game and am very very disappointed. The game is way to short I did it in about 15-20mins, all you have to do is beat about 10 fighters only going 1 round. The men that fight and watch u fight never shout infact there is no sound apart from music a bit of ambient and when u hit some1. Characters don't look or sound like they do in the film. Overall I think the game was to hollow and was missing simple things like sound and storyline. I also got Def Jam Fight For NY and its much much better you will not be disappointed if you buy it.

Overall a big disappointment, its my favourite movie and i expected allot better.

Story line 2/5
Game play 1/5
Sound 1/5
Graphics 3/5
Video 4/5

2.0 out of 5 stars Try before you buy, 7 Nov 2004

Just played a demo of this with great anticipation. The FMV opening sequence is fantastic, all cracking bones, meaty punches, and moody lighting, evoking the film very well. Sadly it all gets a bit ropey after this. The characters look very plastic- like in the first 'Legends of Wrestling' game, their appears to be no grappling moves and the punches and kicks do not flow in combination. The whole thing feels disjointed and more like a poor or rushed PS2 title from 3 years ago.It may well be improved by its release version, but i would be wary of shelling out on this evidence.Even with radical improvement its not going to be a patch on DEF JAM-NY which is possibly the most involving and satisfying slice of violence available on consoles today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fight Club- Brutal Gameplay, 3 Jun 2004
Having read information on a different website about Fight Club I felt bound to reveal this info to Amazon customers.
The game follows the film, with bareknuckle fighting in a variety of places (prehaps in fight clubs around America like in the film?) however what seperates this from other (and very good fighting titles) such as Tekken is the damage. As a fight goes on, damage inflicted upon your opponant or you will affect how you can fight. For example if your arm is broken in an armlock, you will not be able to use it for the rest of the fight. Also, there are going to be some 'X-ray' shots during the fight to show the damage being inflicted. Gruesome no?
It is not jst a simple 'beat-um up' though, as bets can be placed on fights. And, to make it even more interesting, your character can die from injuries sustained, so they have to go to hospital and part with some hard earned (In every sense of the word) cash.
This looks to be a very interesting game, and hopefully will have good enough gameplay to keep people hooked

How could they turn one of the best films of the last millenia into a beat-em-up? Ok so there was a bit of fighting in the film but that wasn't what it was about at all. Read more
