4.0 out of 5 stars Uk Subs at their best, 20 Feb 2004
By Mark Wharton - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this with some trepidation as I thought it might be a let down . Ive grown up with this band and to this day still go and see them when they are in town . I have always wanted to see this line up play live again , it is by far the best Subs line up ever . The D.V.D. is very good ,good sound ,good visuals , not just one camera used here . The band play some classic songs that you never hear the subs doing today , the highlight of the D.V.D. for me are Ice age followed by Sensative boys, I have just been playing these over and over again . The set unfortunately is litterd with a few mistakes , especially from Steve Roberts , but this must be put down to the fact that this band don't actually tour or even play together , it was a one off gig for their 25th anniverary . Steve Roberts is one of the best drummers I have ever seen or heard , so if this gig had come after a short tour im sure it would have been tighter . That said it's still a great gig . There is also a very funny interview on the D.V.D watch out for Steve's wooden peg joke that goes over Nicky's head . A must buy for Subs fans and anyone else interested in good song writing .

5.0 out of 5 stars Warhead, 10 Feb 2004
By A Customer
I was expecting this to be another rip off DVD. I should have known better. Shame on me I had forgotten just how good this band really can be.
This DVD is a quality brand new production from the original line up not some usual cobbled together cash in of bought up old footage. The Subs play a blinder on this checkout New York StatePolice it sounds amazing. Forget The Ramones. Let Charlie & the boys show you how its really done!
Oh yes checkout the hilarious drunken interview with the band.
