Although Buddha Bar is still an excellent compilation double CD, I really feel that the franchise has lost its original direction. The first three or four CD's were influenced by "worldbeats", but this new CD (like Buddha Bar 5 before it) is now relying on the "Buddha Bar" name, and not the content of music to sell itself. It now sound like any Balearic (gentle) house mix CD that you could get from Ministry of Sound.
If you are a serious follower of the original Buddha Bar sound, then I recommend that you listen to it first before buying!

Listen up: I own ALL the Buddha Bar compilations, and as a previous reviewer has stated, it's all getting a bit "Cafe del Mar" bland.
Previous Buddha Bars have featured challenging Arab themes and great surprises, cleverly interweaved. But this latest would grace any middle England dinner party; in fact the dreadful 1st CD would probably encourage negative comment for total pretentiousness (I mean, fancy calling a CD "ReBirth"- YUK!)- it is only the fact that the second CD "ReJoice" hangs together quite well in a non-offending sort of manner that the compilation does not receive a big fat ZERO.
Do yourself a favour - if you have not got them, go try Buddha Bars 1 or 2. Or the excellent Nirvana Lounge 3 if you are looking for something spacy-yet-thoughtful, which Buddha Bar VI tries to be, but alas fails.
As a rule of thumb, I recommend seeking out Claude Challe stuff before Ravin.

Although I am a big fan of DJ Ravin, I thought this Buddha bar VI was a bit of a let down. The selection is far from eclectic, as every other track is by "music for dreams"...it has very little Buddha spirit in it, but, there were few outstanding tracks. The first CD is by far the best. "Rebirth" is wonderfully relaxed and technically well done. "Rejoice" on the other hand...uhm...Well, hope Ravin redeems himself on some forthoming releases.
