Will The New Idol Please Take To The Stand!!!!, 29 Dec 2003
The public have spoken again and Michelle McManus takes over from pop-soul king Will Young as the nation's Pop Idol. After four months of auditions and unprecedented verbal abuse from Pete Waterman and Neil Fox, Michelle emerged victorious at the Pop Idol Grand Finale on 20th December. Her first single release is a track selected by BMG (S records)Chief, and Pop Idol Judge, Simon Cowell entitled 'All This Time'. A track performed on the final it is a pop gem pumped full of gospel harmonies and catchy hooks. Michelle's version is transformed by her powerful and emotional voice and may become an anthem for modern women everywhere. The b-side features Michelle's favourite tune from her time on Pop Idol, 'On The Radio', which she also belted out to thunderous effect on the final show. A disco classic which michelle again delivers with great pinnache and vigour. So there you have it, Pop Idol is all over for now, Michelle has a glittering career ahead of her all that is left is for the number one singles and albums to follow and if this track is anything to go by then that is not so far of happening. Go and buy it, this will be the first in a long line of smash hits for the new Pop Idol!
