The survivor of the original Bogeyman movie goes to Hollywood to meet a movie producer to discuss making a movie about what happened to her. She takes the mirror shard with the killers soul still trapped within it and yet again murders star occurring.

An interesting idea for a sequel to a very good slasher movie but surprisingly very poorly put together considering who is involved. Lommel waited 3 years to make a follow up and this cheap recycled effort was hardly worth the wait, it starts with footage of the previous film about 35 minutes (almost half this films length), that instantly has issues with the sequel as part 1 had some very well done set pieces- the scissor and fork scenes, whereas this film cannot compete with a truly ridiculous electric toothbrush sequence. Suzanna Love is back as the star and does an OK job, Lommel has a small role also and along with the rest of the cast leaves little if any impression. How this was ever considered for prosecution as a video nasty is laughable it must have been because of flashbacks to The Bogey Man and not the new footage.

Seen in it's original 1983 version this is a poor but occasionally funny (for all the wrong reasons) horror. However most if not all the DVD releases of this film feature the 2002 redux version of the film an absolutely terrible almost unwatchable piece of tosh. It doesn't have any of the footage of part 2 it has Lommel speaking the camera interspaced with footage from part 1, if you want to see the original part 2 it would seem you'll have to get a hold of the pre cert video from VTC.

I've been gradually collecting all the original banned "video nasties" and was delighted to find Boogeyman 2" at such a low price and apparently uncut. My delight however was short lived and survived only until I'd watched this DVD.

BE WARNED if you think you're getting the proper "Boogeyman 2" when you buy this version you sure as hell aint. What you're getting is largely comprised of extended flashbacks to the original "Boogeyman" film interspersed with some-one in sunglasses (possibly Ulli Lommel himself?) talking directly to the camera and some very fast "flash forwards" from what seems to have been the real "Boogeyman 2" which, as far as I can determine, only exists on VHS from Amazon.com (America)

Don;t be fooled by the blurb on the back of this DVD. You wont be getting the film that is described

I'm not blaming the supplier of this film. But whoever produced that this hacked about version of the original film has perpetrated a con.

Okay, so it was cheap. My biggest beef is that the few scenes which seem to be from the real "Bogeyman 2" actually look quite good.

I had high hopes for this film and other reviews got me excited of a scary film but was left totally un scared and bored. Was tempted to turn off after ten minutes but watched the whole film but wish I had turned off now.
