Synopsis
While walking home from work through a park, urban-dwelling advertising executive Murray Roberts (David Hewlett, CYPHER) is mugged by a street gang. Fearing for his life, he scales a tree, and remains there--even as vicious gang leader, Shark (Cle Bennett), waits for him below. Shark intends to wait for Murray to GET DOWN, but he has no intention of allowing himself to become more of a victim than he already is---leading to an all-night standoff. This unusual urban thriller garnered rave reviews on its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.

This film is really great but it is exactly the same film as Get Down. DO NOT PAY STUPID EXTORTIONATE PRICES FOR THESE FILMS - CHECK OUT THE PRICES FOR BOTH FILMS FIRST.

I was forced to watch this film as it was the choice of all in the room (but is not normally the kind of films I go for).... and I was glad I did. Right from the off there was an air of menace but this was punctuated by some odd comedy. It was one of those films where you sit and say: I would do this or I would do that and in this film it actually happened. The film is set around a single tree and this works brilliantly - all the actors were well chosen and for some of them at least you feel some sympathy at the end. As Murray (man in tree) learns more about his pursuers he used psychological tactics to try to break them apart. The ending is just as surprising as the beginning. It is well worth watching.
