5.0 out of 5 stars Mad World, 17 Nov 2003
I listened to this track on the radio tonight and was so impressed I had to find out if I could get it from Amazon as it isn't released here for another three weeks. I had forgotten how good it was on the ending scene of Donnie Darko. It was originally sang by Tears For Fears years ago. This song though is more melancholy and moving. To sum it up in one word I would say beautiful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont buy this CD!, 4 Jan 2004
I bought this Cd under the misconception that it would actually include the version of the song I had heard on it. Unfortunatly, when I put it into my CD player I heard a very bad techno/dance remix of the song. Now I dont like dance music at the best of times, but this was really bad. I was so angry about it (it was probably my own fault for not reading the box properly, but if you are buying a single you expect it to include the original version of the song dont you?)

5.0 out of 5 stars Tears for Fears "Mad World" reworked, 26 Nov 2003
I first heard this version on the closing credits of cult movie classic Donni Darko. It was such a moving rendition you could tell the whole cinema audience was completely captivated. I think it is better than the Tears for Fears original and captures the message contained in the lyrics of a world we sometimes find hard to understand perfectly. This is quite simply one of the most emotional and beautiful songs I have heard in a long time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible remix. DO NOT BUY CD2 - JUST GET CD1!
Andy Gray's remix is atrocious and sounds like he couldn't really be bothered to stick some real (trance)balls behind this. It could have been so much more. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Show-stopper
I was just about to change channels on the card radio when I caught this. I was entranced, and furious that the idiot presenter didn't tell me who the singer was. Read more
