The latest addition to the tradition of gross-out humour, if you liked American Pie, Road Trip etc then I'd definitely recommend The New Guy. There's the budding romance story for the girls and for the guys, well if the comedy doesn't satisfy them then I'm pretty sure Eliza Duskhu's bikini shopping scene should do the trick and have them reaching for the frame by frame button on the remote. The are numerous lines which are sure to stick in your head for some time.
Anyone who's been picked on at school and wanted to teach the "A" crowd a lesson or two should be cheering along.
Great performance by Eliza Duskhu (the woman can do no wrong).
All that's left to say is "who's the b***h now?"

Dizzy Harrison is an unpopular geek going through a bad senior year. In an attempt to make a new identity for himself, he gets himself expelled, learns the technique's of cool from a prison inmate, and enrols at a new school under the alias Gil Harris, to make new friends.

He then gets noticed by the head cheerleader, Danielle, and helps the school football team gain self-respect to win games.

But things unknowingly begin to turn sour when Danielle's disgruntled boyfriend begins investigating into his past to uncover any dirt on him.....

Its a great premise, and could have been a wonderful movie, but I have never seen a movie where the lead is so miscast, that it ruins the whole film.

Qualls is a good actor, Road Trip was funny, but to cast him as someone who would be considered cool by all the school and to have Dushku be attracted to him, is beyond bonkers.

I know its shallow me saying that, but its a shallow movie, and despite the message of the film 'if your nice, it doesn't matter if your not cool' its still shallow, humourless stuff.

The cast grate, Griffin is wasted, and its so predictable, you can almost count to three when the titular character has something bad happen to him, and then its all okay come the end.

Add two really bad homages to Patton and Braveheart, you have a really disappointing movie.

For anyone who hasn't seen this-why haven't you?!!! It's a contender for the funniest movie ever. DJ Qualls- a sadly underrated and underutilised actor- re-invents himself when he changes high schools, going from perrenial victim to the coolest new kid in town with a little help by his cell mate Luther (that'll make sense when you see it, ha ha)wonderfully portrayed by Eddie Griffin, who also tells the story. With his cool new image and attitude, Gil Harris (Qualls) soon meets up with hottie Danielle the cheerleader, played by the stunningly gorgeous Eliza Dushku who is fascinated by the newcomer. Is he all he seems? Could this kid with the crazy eyes and bad boy rep really be all that? Along side Qualls are his funk band and a superb supporting cast, including memorable performances by the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Lyle Lovett as Qualls father and a cameo from the monster of rock himself, Gene Simmons (can I get an amen? Once again, you have to see it to understand that...)This is quite simply a laugh out loud comedy with characters everyone can relate to in one way or another.

No need to bring your brain it is an easy watch. Dizzy, the high school geek, decides to re-creates himself as a cool, trouble maker thus earning Dizzy the respect of popular students at his new high school, which offers some humourous scenes. The new Guy discovers the importance of friendship, acceptance and understanding.
also staring Eliza Dushku as Danielle, Dizzys love interest who displays her many talents, bringing a ray of light to an other wise ordinary but fun film. Go Eliza. Fun and colourful

Dizzy Harrison, the High School Geek. Played by DJ Qualls of The great Teen Comedy Road Trip. Dizzy is fed up of being a nobody at his High School and getting ridiculed by the 'jocks'. Dizzy gets expelled and re-invents himself as the cool Gill Harris. Throughout the course of the film Dizzy gets himself into hilarious situations and manages to pull off his new image. A Great Movie to watch if you want to feel good because you wont stop laughing, i've lent it to many friends who have all brought it back to me saying it was the funniest thing they have seen

This i a very funny movie. Its different at least from other comedies. This is a teen college comedy that tries to make things exiting. Eliza Dushku gives this movie a bit more spice with her great positivity on screen. She is beautiful to say the least. Averall a good movie that deserves to be watched.

As a 55 year, I did not think that this would be my cup of tea. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughters did not enjoy it but I did. Great fun.
