Tron the sequel, 4 Jan 2006
Brilliant 1st person 3D action adventure. This game is the official sequel to the 80's film and even has some of the original cast providing the voice overs. It's 20 years later and you play 'Jet', son of Alan Bradley (Tron). Inadvertantly you are digitized and sent forth into the computer world to help fight against viruses, and other users hell bent on a hostile takeover of your companies system. Amazing graphics that are true to the films look as well as many new components including a redesigned super-lightcycle (designed by Sid Mead), with an engaging story and superb playability. Long levels and hours of game play. And best of all, an excellent music score. Visit an Internet hub, Alans desktop PC, the old Encom mainframe, and even a PDA as well as many other locations and fantastic places. For me this game will be one of my most treasured as I loved the film. And the Mac Version has been a brilliant port. There are some issues with the music syncronization which is a little bit of a shame, but I still find this a 5 star product. Best played on a G5 with at least an ATI 9800 pro. Great value for money as it takes a good long time to get through.
