5.0 out of 5 stars End Of Innocence, 10 Nov 2003
Well what can I say? Nightwish's second DVD, 'End Of Innocence' should be a bible to all other bands making a DVD. The documentary is top class, it has everything a documentary should have. It has all the complete history of Nightwish, all the funny bits from tours, concert footage and an emotional interview with the bands founder Tuomas. The concert footage, is admittely short, about five songs for each concert but it sounds amazing. Other little extras include the brilliant videos for 'Over The Hills And Far Away' and Century Child hit 'End Of All Hope' and an extremely confusing photo gallery. Overall, this is arguably the best music DVD of the year, perfect for avid fans and people not familiar to Nightwish's music.

4.0 out of 5 stars True Nightwish fans need this!, 22 Jan 2005
By Davie_UCF "Davie" (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Let me start by saying that newcomers to Nightwish might not really find this DVD interesting.

This DVDs main feature is a documentary of Nightwish's activities if thats the way you can put it. Tuomas talks about how Nightwish started and basicly the whole dvd tells the whole Nightwish story with great bits inbetween. Typical metal/rock bands behaviour on tour, having a laugh and doing stupid things :). It is extremely interesting and amusing at the same time with little clips of Nightwish live shoved in too.

The other features on the dvd are a few live songs of 2 gigs. These are great songs but since seeing Nightwish myself nothing really compares or seems as great :) So don't judge them till you see them yourself!

It also comes with a video of 'Over the hills and far away' the great Gary Moore remake and a picture gallery.

Fans of Nightwish should love this dvd. Seeing the members as thereselves and hearing the whole story of Nightwish from the great man himself!

5.0 out of 5 stars For Nightwish Addicts!, 4 Dec 2004
I am an extremely big fan of Nightwish, a good year before they brought out their new album Once which in my opinion isn't quite as appealing to me. This DVD is for people who really like the band and want to know more about them, as it has a lot of information as to how the band started and became what it is. There are pictures and live performances on the DVD but this is not the main feature. The bands journey is a very personal account of their feelings, growth, direction and is lasts over an hour, so you really have to be interested as it isn't all action! Only at the end of the large stretch of talking do you see their actual relationships and what they get up to at gigs etc... so don't expect loads of Tarja if thats your only preference!!- The main speaker in the DVD is Tuomas!
I really liked the DVD as it seems to be very truthful and they didn't try to make it more than what it was. A definate must for people keen to know how it all began!!
