the n-gage game to buy, 7 Nov 2003
This is a great port of a game that stated a huge series that is still going with the release of Underground on 21st. This is the start of the series and although it's not as good as the updates its still damn good. The graphics are amazing (for a phone) and I would say that they are no different from the PS1 version. The levels are the same as the original and everything is in the same place so if like me you completed the original you may find it a little tedious to do such easy challenges, and only have few hard one on the last levels, but who can complain when the levels are so good like the Warehouse and Roswell. The mulitplayer aspect has been improved as far as i can see in the modes section but i am yet to test it out, but hopefully it will be great, tricking off against someone who is hopefully as good as you over bluetooth rather than playing the quick takey turney horse mode on one n-gage with friends that have no idea how to play in the first place(well it happens to me, people say 'can I play,' 'sure, you know how' 'no what's the controls') these kind of people offer no competition which makes this game strictly solo unless you know of anyone else wiht n-gage and tony hawks, or you can be bothered to play on the internet and spend a lot of money. To conclude I suggest you get this game, esspecially if you have not played this entry in the series before, but those that played the original will find it less enjoyable. Despite this it is a great game and i hope activision release the later versions as they extra features (2 includes manuals, 3 brings reverts, 4 is the best with no time limits and challenges to find) As all of these have been released on playstation 1 (some on 2 as well) there is hope for them to arrive on this.
