then do yourself a BIG favour. 10 STARS

5.0 out of 5 stars For all those who love good jazz, 22 Jan 2004
By raq (london) - See all my reviews
I've just been listening to this CD, and its amazing! It reminds me so much of all the best there is about jazz! There is so much influence from Miles Davies(any, Nefertiti, Panthalassa, Kind of blue, Porgy and Bess), Herbie Hancock (Headhunters), Theolonious Monk(Monk in paris, Straight no chaser, its monk time) and so many more. His use and mixing of so many sounds on all the tracks is truly inspirational, this man is a legacy! when there are so many jazz stars that have passed on, Roy Ayers is still here making mighty fine music even in his sixties! He is such an inspiration to so many artists today who sample his music and take advantage of his unique outlook in jazz.
I love all the tracks on this CD, but my absolute favourites are Sugar, and I am your mind, just because they make you just want to sway to such beautiful sounds.
The man is a legend, and i must say that everyone who is a real jazz fan must buy this CD, its the best i've heard in ages!
