Canon's iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) technology is also included. With plenty of processing power at hand, the IXUS i also provides fast, accurate and precise colour rendition and white balance, all without the need for unnecessary fiddling, using its purpose-built DIGIC (Digital Imaging Core).

Other features include recording of up to three minutes of video and sound. This can be played back immediately on the camera's viewfinder or transferred to your computer and emailed to friends. PictBridge support means that printing is easy too, even without a PC, using any PictBridge compatible printer.
