5.0 out of 5 stars The New Sound Out Of Ireland, 19 Jun 2004
By Martin A Hogan "Marty From SF" (San Francisco, CA. (Hercules)) - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Rock/Pop bands come and go, but "Morph" has that rare quality of sustainability. This latest album portrays a band that has found itself and exudes a confidence in their own uniqueness. With solid vocal leads by Collie Stewart, the band plays off eachother brilliantly. Richard and Stephen Stewart work guitars masterfully, sometimes bringing out a mood by playing them like over-sampled keyboards or doubling up on solid chords. "Motion" is a wonderful mellow mood piece, inducing instant euphoria. "Not Around" contains a brilliant working of harmonica, bringing out a hip folksy feel. "Morph" has many influences, but "Beautiful Lies" contains more moods and variety in itself which is carried through with multiple bridges. One other highlight is, "Lazy", a true bluesy number with silly, but clever lyrics about love. Throughout the album, each cut manages to produce an ambience or a pulsing rhythmic mood that always satisfies. "Morph" is along for the long haul and it's just a matter of time before the folks on the 'other side of the pond' catch on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellyent Album, 9 Oct 2003
By Craig Foley (Northern Ireland) - See all my reviews
This is an album which I could listen to over and over again. The music is great. The music artists are sensational and the lyrics have depth. I would recommend that anyone who has not heard of morph or who has not been to their website should have a look at what the band have to offer. Get out there and buy the album, you will not look back.
