Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

This game lets you re-enact your favourite Dragon Ball Z battles by using high-intensity fighting cards to protect the universe. You can build custom decks from five unique card types and position your characters to move through level after level of combat. Start out as Gohan, train against Piccolo, then battle Nappa, Vegeta, and Frieza. You can even attain multiplayer and trading status, if you're fast enough, brave enough, and strong enough to defeat your enemies.

There are three different modes of play: story mode, multiplayer mode, and battle mode. The game faithfully follows the Dragon Ball Z story line from the Saiyan Saga through the Cell and Buu Sagas. You can build custom decks from Damage Attack, Beam Attack, Defense Support, and Command cards--and interact with your favorite Dragon Ball Z characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very well achieved game!, 5 Sep 2004
By  (Lisbon, Portugal) - See all my reviews
Legendary Super Warriors is one of the best DBZ games there is (I have plenty, so I know what I'm saiyng). The game has all the 4 sagas in DBZ (saiyan, namek, android and buu), and all of them are relatively detailed. The story is well told so even non-DBZ fans can understand it. The game has only a few lackbacks (story-wise): You can't battle with Raditz, #17 and #18 (as soon as they are reawakened by #20, altough you can battle them later) and Cell (with Vegeta and Trunks as soon as they leave the hyperbolic time chamber), altough all these battles are mentioned. However, there are some battles that aren't even mentioned (Vegeta vs. Zarbon/Dodoria and Goku Super Saiyan 3 vs. Majin Buu). But despite these lackbacks this is a great game - you battle the enemy with a card deck and you can perform the attacks as soon as you get the card from the deck (or you can put up to 3 cards on each character so you can use those three cards whenever you want) - and it is a game that even if you've already finished it, you won't get sick of playing it, because to survive the battle it is necessary to predict the opponent's moves (I've lost the count of how many times I've re-played it and I still have difficulty in predicting opponent moves sometimes!) so it's a game that even if you're a master at it you can still lose. Besides, you have loads of attacks for each character (some of them don't even appear in the TV show!). Buy this game - You won't be disappointed.
