5.0 out of 5 stars I'm glad I got It!, 18 April 2009
By scotraven (Worcestershire, England) - See all my reviews
The sexually appealing Clara Bow is heart capturingly charming in this delightful romantic comedy "IT". I was apprehensive when ordering the Kino DVD as many sellers are showing it as Region 1 only, but I can confirm it is multi regional and this NTSC disc plays on Region 2. The accompanying documentary adds the icing to the cake even though Courtney Love's narrating voice is a bit bland. Definitely recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great old film, 14 Mar 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: It [VHS] [1927] (VHS Tape)
I first saw Clara bow in the film "Wings" 1927 and fell in love with her at first site,I counld see what all the fuss was about all those years ago. This is a great film in which Clara really does look her best, with those big eyes and that look that makes men go weak at the knees you cant help but like this film.If you like films where men dress as men and women dress as women then take the time to sit and watch this film, and keep an eye open for Gary Cooper(news reporter)another of my best actors.Once you'v seen "IT" I'm convinced your be in Love like Iam with Miss Bow

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining (considering it is a silent pic), 31 May 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: It [VHS] [1927] (VHS Tape)
I'd read a lot about Clara Bow before watching 'It' and the film certainly didn't disappoint. Like most BFI videos, they have used the best print available - so the picture quality is superb. Carl Davis's music score is also top drawer and it's a perfect accompaniment to the pictures. Oh yes, and Clara looks adorable! (forget what's on the video's front cover - BFI have used the most unflattering picture possible). If you hate silent films you'll hate this one. But if you don't, then you're in for a very enjoyable 76 minutes.

When Anita Page died last year, I saw a stunning picture of her in the paper. I had to check out photos of more of the silent and early talkie stars, finding many I knew of but... Read more
