Disco, jazz and funk, what's the one thing that makes them compatible? Is it the beats? Nah, but they're pretty good. Is it the funky melodies? Yeah I think it is, and Lets Groove Again is here to prove that disco and funk are far from dead.

CD 1 starts with some disco classics, Earth Wind and Fire, Diana Ross, Chic, Sister Sledge and Tavares all made classics, so it's nice to see their tracks starting this party on a disc.

The compilation goes funky, with the excellent Kool & the Gang, with their funk enduced Get Down On It, with it's funky riffs and coolness that some of today's disco artists can only dream of.

Carrying on with CD1 is a disco classic, disco inferno, which will make anyone dance, other classics which deserve a mention is Alexander O'Neil's 1987 smash, Critisise, The Jacksons trademark Blame it on the Boogie, and the disco anthem - I will survive. I mean, who can forget this song, it's just DISCO. No compilation can do without this song.

CD 2 is more of the same, but with more funk than CD1, which was a difficult thing to do. The excellent Shannon is on here with her breakbeat classic let the music play, which would make any breakdancer get up and show them their tallent. Other favourites include Average White Band's funky instrumental, Pick Up The Pieces, Mantronix' smash break beat ridden Go To Have Your Love; and the Jacksons return with Show You The Way To Go. Classic stuff for sure.

Altogether a very funky album, with legends. Well put together and would get any party started.
