The Kenwood Chef is synonymous with traditional home prepared and baked food. It's versatility has meant that for almost 50 years this has been the number one kitchen companion. This model has a powerful 750 Watt variable speed motor which allows you to take full control over whaterever you are preparing, and like all Kenwood chefs, the gears which do the hard work of transforming power into speed, or even more power, are all metal and virtually unbreakable.The casing is also 100% metal. One of the more recent changes to the chefs is electronic speed control which maintains the speed when more load is added - just like cruise control in modern cars. There are 3 attachments included - The K Beater for cake mixture, Whisk for egg whites and whipping cream, and Dough Hook for kneading up to 5lb's of dough. The Chef uses a planetary mixing action which means that all of the mixture is captured in the bowl. The bowl itself is a 4.6 litre capacity and made from stainless steel for easy cleaning.

The tools should be so near to the bottom of the bowl that you can easily push one paper between them but not anything thicker. The adjusment has been explained in the manual. I believe once it is done, it will stay forever.
I would not use Kenwood Chef for whipping of 1 dl cream. Also I prefer Bamix as homogenizer, but otherwise Chef has been my trusted help for 22 years.

In my experience as a Chef for over 10 years, this is the best mixer that one can possibly find. It is so reliable and beautifully designed that I even used it for my own TV cooking show!!

I have been using a Kenwood Chef mixer for over 20 years. I would be totally lost without it, and would certainly recommend it to anyone, either professional or beginner.
