Of course, now there are DVD singles to flog aswell we weren't going to see the best remix on the humble CD were we?

The title track is, of course, the album version of the song and jolly good too.

Both remixes remind me of Beck remixes - one faster and a bit funky, the second is indeed loungey. Unfortunately, as with most vocal remixes these days, the lyrics are pretty much left untouched, bar a tempo change.

As usual with Placebo the single is both interesting and a bit of a rip off. First there are only two remixes and the album version when most of the byers are fans and already have the album. Second, the single comes out in two discs (for this album all the singles appear as a cd + a dvd to buy separately), with enough material released to justify only one of them.

That said, the lounge version of Plasticine is really good and more than a remix it sounds like a reworked version. To my taste it is also MUCH BETTER THAN THE VERSION ON THE ALBUM, giving it a real atmosphere (I found the version on the album a bit messy - and quite unsatisfying for Placebo).
