The last time I used any astronomy software was years ago on a ZX Spectrum. Now I have children and have always looked up at the night sky and wondered what that bright “star” is? I wanted to be able to show them the planets and stars. Astronomy Plus exceeds my expectations considering the price was so low. Not only do you get a realistic night sky from your location on earth but you can fly out around the solar system as well and view the orbits of planets, comets etc. and speed up or slow down time. Try viewing from outside our Solar System then click on return Home, the screen fly’s you through the planets right back to your backyard, very cool! The program, via the internet, updates your program with current orbital data, so your night sky is calibrated and very real.
This is a great program and a wonderful way to see the night sky and show the children where we are in space. Finally the DVD is real bonus. So don't wait - go and buy it!
