4.0 out of 5 stars Another great Simpsons video..., 7 Nov 2005
By J. Stubbs (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The Simpsons Go to Hollywood is a great compilation of four classic episodes, and in my opinion is one of the best Simpsons videos out there!

'Homer to the Max' is a very funny episode seeing Homer being dazzled by the fact someone in a TV programme has his name! The TV programme then changes his character in a dopey sidekick, annoying Homer and putting him on the wrong end on slapstick from Moe and the rest of the crew. This episode is a must-see.

'Fear of Flying' is an entertaining episode in which the Simpson family recieve free air travel. It is then revealed Marge has a very strong fear of flying! A funny take on air-phobia.

'Krusty Gets Kancelled' is a good episode, which involves the famous Krusty the Clown being, ahem, kancelled in favour of an all-new sensation known as Gabbo. It follows the children's attempts to get Krusty back on air, and has a heartwarming ending.

'Flaming Moe's' is an absolutely unmissable classic which sees Homer creating a recipe for a blockbuster alcoholic drink, only for his friend Moe to steal it and use it in his bar. Vocals from Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Aerosmith make this a must-see.

Overall, 'The Simpsons Go to Hollywood' is a classic compliation. Get it in now.

3.0 out of 5 stars A dissapoining collection, 25 April 2000
By A Customer
The Simpson's are absouletly EXCELLENT, but this tape isn't one of their best. Fear Of Flying, Krusty Gets Kanncelled and Flaming Moes have all been replayed to death on BBC Two. They are good episodes, mind. Fear Of Flying isn't very good, but it's alright. Krusty Gets Kanncelled is quite good. Flaming Moes is excellent. Homer To The Max is the only fresh episode, and it is excellent. When Homer discovers he shares a name with an idiot from TV's Police Cops, he changes his name to Max Power - He got it off a hair dryer. This episode is excellent, and Krusty Gets Kancelled and Flaming Moes are also very good, but Fear Of Flying lets it down. On the whole, not a great tape.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the episodes has changed from the VHS, 20 Feb 2004
'When You Dish Upon A Star' has replaced 'Homer to the Max' (which on The Dark Secrets DVD, has replaced 'Homer the Great')!!! I don't really see the point, but 'When You Dish Upon a Star' is a good episode

PEACE OUT
