Juicetastic!, 3 Aug 2004
Well I'm not one for writing hardware reviews, especially on kitchen appliances. I mean, who gets excited about a juicer?Well it all started when my girlfriend read a book about why we should eat more fruit and veg, and she soon came to the conclusion that what she really needed was a juicer. That decided, I took up the challenge and went online to buy one. Now, we already have a white Waring blender, so a matching juicer seemed to be my obvious choice, but at this price? Surely not! Now call me a gadget snob, but after a quick day trip for a hands-on it was clear that her original limit of 60 quid wasn't gonna cut it, not unless she was willing to settle for something that looked like a plastic pig. So back to the drawing board. Several weeks later and we'd decided to go the whole hog (and go halves) and get the white Waring. Four weeks on and we're still enthusing. So what makes this juicer so good? Where do I start? Number 1 - you can't go wrong! There's only one button to press, one whole to drop stuff in, and it's dead easy to take apart and put back together. Number 2 - you should see how much juice comes out of a carrot! You wouldn't think it possible! Trust me, you'd be amazed! Number 3 - it comes with disposable paper filters that collect the leftovers, so a quick rinse under the tap is all that's required to clean it! Just the incentive you need to keep on juicin'! Number 4 - I've heard noisey juicers, and this ain't one of them. Its so well engineered it looks and feels like it will outlast most things. Get the picture? Believe me, I could go on. So, if you want a fun and enjoyable way of getting your five portions of fruit and veg a day, drink them with a Waring and you wont look back! Now darling, what else can we juice?........
