Not new to such experiments, DB is back on the scene with the soundtrack to a movie that I hope to see really soon in Italian cinemas. Born in Scotland, DB manages to bring to our ears the magic and mystery of that land, where the movie "Young Adam" is set. Musicians from Scottish band such as Belle and Sebastian, Mogwai and Delgados help David Byrne build the right atmosphere with an outstanding variety of colours and sounds. From the melancholy of Canal Life to the jazz feel of Haitian Fight Song (the only non-original track - written by Charles Mingus), the more you listen to this music, the more you can picture the emotions it evokes: which is exactly what every soundtrack should do.
