State Property, a collective built around troubled but talented Beanie Sigel, were first seen by most of the public in a 2002 movie (fittingly enough titled STATE PROPERTY) starring said head rapper as Beans, a young gangsta who decides tolead his crew on a rampaging takeover of his city. Led by Beanie, the group is bolstered by the talents of a slew of the best up-and-coming young rappers Roc-A-Fella records couldbring into the fold. Including the electrifying breakout lyricist Freeway and the alluringly dulcet-toned duo Young Gunz, State Property offer up a take-no-prisoners firestorm of violent flow focused by a righteously angry intelligence andthe aptest of references.
Switching off and combining their talent in multiple manners on CHAIN GANG VOL. 2, State Property presents a balanced attack of solid raps. Chris and Neef of Young Gunz start things up with their trademarked trading-off vocals on the ferocious "Can't Stop, Don't Stop". Roc-A-Fella CEO and prolific megastar Jay-Z (who played a rival gang leader in the movie) drops in with one of his strongest, twistiest turns on "It's On". And when most of the members combine talents, the strongest tracks emerge, as on thedizzy "When You Hear That".

This Album is def worth buying especially if you like rocafella It's the follow up to their first Album which was the soundtrack to a film with the same title. This album is probably going to be worth something if beanie sigel gets found guilty of all his impending court cases. I first heard state property freestyle on hot 97 for like 1 hour straight and after that i was a fan. They have all got potential and have a good chance to shine on this album which they do. The production is good and is mostly made up of samples, the producers include Bink, D.Dot and Alchemist. The lyrics are Dope but don't stray much from the guns, girls, drugs formula, but when they do the artists shine like on 'Been Down Too Long' and 'Do It All Again'. These tracks are deep and show maturity from the young Roc artists. Out of the Mc's on this album the ones that stood out (excluding Beanie Sigel) were Freeway, Oschino and Young Chris. Freeway is just straight crazy and sounds ill on 'Rolling Down the Freeway' flowing tight over a great beat. Oschino shows maturity on 'Been Down Too Long' talking bout being incarcerated for murder cases when he was younger. Chris comes off nice on the lead single 'Can't stop won't stop' and on 'criminal minded' and also on the bouus freestyle. Overall this is a dope album that shows that Roc-a-fella can put out grimey material and still have comercial success. The stand out tracks are 'Can't Stop Won't Stop' 'Rolling Down The Freeway' 'Criminal Minded' and 'Do It All Again'. Get this album if you like roc-a-fella or want to hear something different from the radio and also check out the first state property album which is straight gully material and a greatly slept on album. this album is the hot isht you gotta own it if u likin the roc. jay hova makes an appearance, sigel spits some memorable bars, chris and neef come of age on cant stop wont stop and the ODB makes a triumphant return. add to that some hot bars from peedi crakk aka magnum brown and the worlds most dangerous rapper freeway, then u got a dope album
