Product Description

Product Description

Armed & Dangerous is a blast-happy action game about a smart-talking group of gun-toting rebels, a ridiculously impossible quest, and weapons that cause really, really big explosions. Players take on the role of Roman, a cockney criminal mastermind and leader of a gang of accidental heroes known as the Lionhearts. Armed to the hilt with an arsenal of outrageously powerful firearms, Roman and his crew of Robin Hood wannabes--Jonesy, Q1-11 and Rexus--set out to pull off the ultimate heist and are unwittingly drawn into a rebellion against a tyrant king.

Armed & Dangerous is comprised of 21 action-packed missions through five diverse environments including icy and snowy regions, mountains with breathtaking vistas, deep and foreboding woods, and rain-spattered cliffs. The game is set in the rich fantastical world of Milola, which is recovering from the not-so-distant Lime-Dixon Wars and a disastrous icicle famine. Comprising three countries--Midden, Forge, and Armortia--Milola is ruled by the hated and oppressive King Forge.

Amid a chaotic hail of bullets and heat of enormous explosions, Roman and the Lionhearts attempt to steal the Book of Rule, Milola's most prized artefact, for it prophesises the tyrant king's overthrow. To obtain it, they must wage battle with the evil king and his bizarre army of half-man, half-animal Grunts, psychopathic eliminator droids, wall-smashing Goliaths, evil monks and wild twiglets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totaly a must have for anyone that loves FPS games, 15 Dec 2003
this game is the most fun i've had playing a game for years! mostly of the time i'm laughing out loud or just spreading plain simple havock!
It's been a long time i got the chance to play a game that makes me laugh and enjoy playing for hours. this is one of the absolutly rare games that can pull off both. for you lovers of Giants: Citizen Kabuko, you'll absolutly loves this awsome game. regarding to technicalities, the graphics are good could be better, but i think lucas arts made a prety good job, and the most important part of it, the gameplay is prety easy. if you are looking for a great time and a laughter session, this is definetly your game! go and get it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Armed & Brilliant, 3 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Want to play a game that is fun? A game that will have you addicted and at the same time make you laugh out loud? Then get this. OK the graphics aren`t as good as they could be. The movies are poor quality. The accents are awful But they`re funny. Even the weapons are funny. The Shark Gun that sends off a giant great white land shark to devour your enemies. The Vindaloo Rocket Launcher and my favourite...The Black Hole in a Box.

Too many games these days take themselves too seriously and concentrate on looking pretty at the expense of gameplay. This game should be applauded for sticking two fingers up at graphics and concentrating on gameplay. Although the games physics have been used well. Blow up a building and watch baddies come flying out of windows!

I love this game. As will anyone with an ounce of humour in them.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you don't buy this, you're missing out!, 12 Nov 2004
By A Customer
Armed and Dangerous comes highly recommended for those who like their Duke Nukems or Serious Sams, even though A and D is played from a third person perspective. The game is extremely innovative with it's range of truly bizarre outlandish weaponry, has great gameplay, a wicked sense of humour that make me laugh out loud on several occasions, and stunning graphical locations and characters.

I did get through the whole game in two days ... but that was because it was so incredibly addictive and I couldn't be pryed from my keyboard. Now it's under a tenner, you certainly can't go wrong.

Even the manual made me laugh openly (on the bus on the way home from buying it. Apologies to anyone who catches the 221!)
