Product Description

On a distant planetoid covered with lush vegetation and turquoise seas, three powerful forces are about to collide in a visually-rich, fast-paced game. You play as one of three species: the technologically powerful Meccaryn (Meccs), the ethereal and siren-like Sea Reapers or a behemoth of massive proportions known as Kabuto.

Giants is an intense action shooter game that also builds in resource and base-building elements used in strategy games. Smarties and Vimps perform these functions by serving as support species. Your job is to collect them to your gain, and each group uses them differently. For instance, Meccs use Smarties to build their bases, while Kabuto eats them for energy.

However, the main thrust of this game is combat, and each class has an array of interesting weapons. The Meccs employ a destructive array of high-tech armaments; the Sea Reapers call upon magical powers and their priestess, Delphi, who wields a lethal sword, quiver of bows and casts deadly spells; while the giant Kabuto uses his massive body weight, wrestling moves and a handy adrenaline boost.

Over 45 challenging and varied missions are available in the PlayStation 2 release. Players adventure through 16 island maps in a combat quest for dominance of this stunning planetoid.

Giants is simply a great game. There's action, there's comedy, the character designs are unique and the graphics, well, superb. This is a great game for anyone with a good sense of humor and a macabre imagination. The meccs have interesting weapons, the sea reaper has magical abilities and kabuto, well, he's... fun. Stomping around eating people at it's best. Five stars.

Isn't it great when you get something for nothing....um...ok I agree, it doesn't happen very often... ok it doesn't happen at all, which is why it's so nice to find a PC game that offers three games for the price of one! From the outset Giants:Citizen Kabuto offers a stunning and diverse gaming scenario wherein you get to control any one of three beings, each with their own special attributes. The beautiful Sea Reapers, with their magic, the crazy and well armed Meccaryn, complete with helicopters and weopens which constantly seem to blow things up (including the odd Meccaryn). Then of course there's Kabuto himself, who fell asleep once, only to wake up to find an entire scout group camping in his ear. So that just leaves the bad guys.....but..the thing is...well...you pit one aginst the other two...so all you have to decide is which one. And of course no world would be complete without the little people, and Giants doesn't disappoint. Only depending on who you choose these little guys are either helping you or feeding you! All in all a wonderful game with stunning graphics, hilarious cut scenes and enough gameplay to keep you hooked until the wee hours.

at first this game is superb: there is comedy, action and the graphics are pretty good. but too quick does it get all samey. missions become tiresome and the objectives become tedious. great game if you see it cheap but although at first it seems good, youll be putting it down before its even completed.
