Pretty Brittany Murphy and prettier Ashton Kutcher make a surprisingly enjoyable comic team in Just Married, a romantic comedy about a horrible honeymoon. After a whirlwind romance, radio traffic announcer Kutcher and rich girl Murphy get married over the objections of her upper-crust family. Their love can overcome snobbery--but as the cuddly pair start to drive each other nuts over mishaps travelling through Europe, it starts to look like their love can't overcome intimacy. Just Married has a sprightly script that keeps one foot on the ground (unlike some recent romantic comedies that seem to have no connection to reality) and one eye on the small ways in which lovers can get on each other's nerves. Kutcher and Murphy have a sweet yet volatile chemistry that keeps the antics lively. --Bret Fetzer

Do not be put off buying this film because of the critics, it is fantastic from beginning to end. The adorable couple Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy have a great chemistry on-screen which adds a special touch to the film and not just the all-too-common cheap laughs. Buy it now! If you like romantic comedies you will love it!

I get the distinct feeling that my fellow reviewers are either fans of the teen movies that are unfortunatly really big right now, that they're teenagers who fancy either character or they watched a completely different film to me.

Admittedly this is American humour, and I've never really got on with it, but I should have laughed at this "comedy" at least once!

Let's start at the beginning....the opening sequence shows the two love-birds back from their honeymoon, and they are quite obviously not on the best terms with each other...fair enough, I guess married life isn't going so well...but what happens next is unrealistic and so unlikely I just shook my head. They were walking through the airport and they were doing lots of little tricks on each other just to annoy each other still further. Now...if I'd fallen out with my wife I wouldn't have been looking at her, let alone, pushing her so she knocks someone's coffee all over her, and then even pushing each other down the airport stairs! Dire.

The acting is average, and if I'm honest the guy in the film does have a funny voice and he does express things in a funny way, but often overdoes it way too much. And his confrontation with the owner of a very high class french hotel where they are supposed to be staying after a very unfunny scene where the guy tries to put an American plug into a French socket (typical...) is just plain stupid. No-one reacts like that, even in the dopiest of films. The actress, Brittany whatevershe'scalled is just plain poor. Ok, so this is supposed to be something you don't take seriously, fair enough. But it just isn't funny. Even the ending speech where the guy tries to get his wife back by giving a little speech through her rich father's intercom on the gate, is unmoving and if anything, predictable. It's been done time and time again.

I'm not going to totally blow out this film, it does have a very good performance by the films best actor. That being the dog owned by Britanny whatshernames character...and it provided the only laugh of the film for me in that once scene.

Inevitably, this is angled at a purely American market, and for people who are fans of stupid, dippy American films. Oh and for people who just want something that's not difficult to take in too. Enjoy it those with American minds...

I rented this DVD and settled back with my wife for a fun film, having seen a preview. Unfortunately the two minute preview had ALL the comedy bits in the film.Sadly not funny. Very cliched and a bit twee. Acting was questionable and the characters didn't really work for me. The only thing I would agre with the film about is that marriage takes hard work very often and I give the film 2 stars because it shows marriage as something worth fighting for. But I wouldn't recommend the film for that or any other reason.
