4.0 out of 5 stars A lot of nostalgia for your money, 19 Jan 2004
By A Customer
After ordering this box set I learned that a lot of the companies use bad prints when dishing out these old movies. I was glad to see that they had used the original negatives from the Republic Studios. To tell this is actually the only reason I'm writing this review.

The sound and picture quality is not perfect but I'm sure this is because they are old movies. I have nothing to compare them with though.

No extras or subtitles. Just the movies. If you are a John Wayne fan but you are just starting your DVD collection this is a very good buy. I am a happy customer.
