5.0 out of 5 stars Metalcore the Way Momma Used To Make It, 6 Jun 2005
Quite how such down to earth, nice fellas like AILD make such an unbelievable cacophony of noise, drawn from pure aggression, is quite something to behold. That feeling only lasts for a minute or two, though, because thereafter the listener is pulled into the unrelenting din without a second to draw breath.

This is savage, unremitting stuff. 94 Hours goes straight for the jugular, Forever is as close as the band come to an anthem but could never EVER be played on radio.....all the better for it.....and even the more considered moments like ..Another Fallen Soldier have a brutal energy to them that could start wars.

One of the best examples of how metalcore can take the best elements of both genres and make an entirely superior one, and as such an album that any self-respecting modern rock fan should own. Treat yourself to the noise!

4.0 out of 5 stars metalcore at it's finest., 31 Mar 2005
By A Customer
Personally, I feel like the metalcore scene has been gradually filling up with crappy 2nd rate bands recently. 18 visions for example are frankly an embarassment. A.I.L.D however are exactly what metalcore is about. Shredding guitar playing, double bass drum patterns and brutal vocals make this album a must have. "Stand out tracks?" I here you ask! Tracks 4 and 12 are different class, and show some true metal guitar playing. Track 6, on the other hand, is different to the others as the intro could put a teething baby to sleep; but it is non the less an excellent track. My personal favourite though is "forever". Its just simply amazing from start to finish. The last part of the song (after the breakdown riff) literally made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up the first time I heard it, it's that emotional and heartfelt.
Fans of decent metalcore acts such as Killswitch engage, bullet for my valentine, from autumn to ashes and 36 crazyfists should check out these fellas!

4.0 out of 5 stars good solid metalcore album
From the first track on the CD you realise that this is music with balls. The singer looks like your average emo kid, but damn does he have a ballsy deep metal voice. Read more
