Amazon.co.uk Review
Billed as the first James Bond film in video-game form, Everything or Nothing certainly doesn't lack in cinematic presentation. For starters it's got a cast of A-list Hollywood stars that most real movies would be jealous of, including Dame Judi Dench, John Cleese, Willem Dafoe, Shannon Elizabeth, Heidi Klum and, of course, Pierce Brosnan. There's even a title song from Mya and fully licensed Q-enhanced vehicles such as the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and the Triumph Daytona 600 motorcycle.

In terms of gameplay though Everything or Nothing is far less extravagant. In contrast to previous Bond games it's viewed from a third-person perspective and looks and plays not unlike a more action-packed version of Splinter Cell. There are problems with the entirely manual camera system though--particularly the lock-on for the aiming system, which is frustratingly random in choosing which bad guy you target.

The vehicle sections, which use the same graphics engine as Need for Speed Underground, are less obstreperous and offer some of the most genuinely enjoyable moments as you hurtle in pursuit of bad guys riding heavily armed cars, motorbikes and helicopters. Additionally, both on foot and when driving, the game gives you the chance to trigger "Bond moments" when you find shortcuts or dispatch bad guys in particularly imaginative ways.

Everything or Nothing is perhaps the ultimate example of style over substance in video games, but there's just enough of the latter to ensure that everyone but the most pernickety of gamers will find something to enjoy. --David Jenkins

Product Description
In James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing the world's greatest secret agent returns in his fifth interactive adventure. First, you will think like Bond, using espionage, tactical skills, and gadgets from the Q-Lab to analyze your situation. Then you will act like Bond, using his stylish physical skills, clever subterfuge, and bold personality to once again save the world. Finally, you will see every Bond moment from the new third person perspective that shows the Hollywood cast playing out a real-time cinematic action adventure that could only come from the world of James Bond.

Returning as James Bond is Pierce Brosnan, who will lend his cyberscanned likeness and voice to the character. The rest of the cast will include new Bond girls as well as old and new Bond villains. The original script will take players through exciting locales in four continents including the Valley of the Kings in Egypt and the French Quarter in New Orleans.

To play out the challenge of thinking and acting like Bond, players will make choices ranging from direct confrontation to subtle misdirection when interacting with enemies. When it comes time for combat, Bond can engage in hand-to-hand fighting, using objects from game environments as weapons, as well as accessing a guns and gadgets. The discerning player, however, may find a multitude of different options ranging from disguise to distracting guards to using cover--and using these Bond-style tactics to outsmart the bad guys will reward the player with special enhancements including Q-Lab gadgetry. Other new features include two-player coop missions and four-player multi-player arena modes, all set in third person views and featuring multiple playable characters.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wheres da multiplayer?, 27 Mar 2004
By snotty jotty (Westerham, Kent United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
its a good game with 27 levels, brilliant graphics and decent car chases but the multiplayer is RUBBISH! u cant play against computer players, its nothing like 'nightfire' and 'agent under fire' with all the different levels, scenarios etc.u cant play it until u unlock it in story co-op and wen u do unlock it its only got 1 arena wich is a tiny room and ur looking at it from above-no 1st person veiwing! the 3rd person veiwing really takes away the feeling of being Bond. but i cant see n e thing rong with the lock on system unlike some people. the 3 stars r 4 the graphics, the 1 player and the srory co-op.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant bond game, but not for the casual gamer, 28 Feb 2004
The old Goldeneye format has got increasingly stale with every outing for 007. This new fresh 3rd person aspect to the series offers much more oppotunities and aspects for the game to take. Unlike in the other 007 games, you can now take part in fist fights with your enemies. This is one for the hardcore gamer, though. The missions are no longer linear, boring affairs where you are guided by hand through the levels - you can now take whatever routes you want through the missions and objectives offering hours and hours of replay value.

The presentation to the game is stunning. The cast includes many worldwide stars such as Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench, John Cleese, Richard Kiel and Willem Dafoe. The music for the game, composed by Sean Callery of real time drama 24 fame, is also a high point, mixing orchestral and techno elements into a soundtrack that rivals the bond film series' current composer David Arnold's efforts.

Overall, this is a great, fresh new take on a tiring series that I would reccomend to anyone interested in either Bond or action games in general.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best EA Bond title yet, 6 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Ok lets get this out of the way first since its the question EVERYONE asks when a new bond title is released... NO its not as good as Goldeneye, but this time its not trying to copy it.
Everything or Nothing is a Bond game, not a goldeneye rip-off, and succeeds very well, it has:
3rd Person action, which whilst looking like Splinter Cell plays more like Metroid Prime, but it works, especially the ducking and shooting, it really does. These come in both action and stealth variety, the action works better IMO though.
Car chases
Motor bike chases
Helicopter mission
Tank missions

For the most part they're all very enjoyable and at 27 missions (more than double that of the previous offerings) it'll last you a while.
