5.0 out of 5 stars I know it's been said but The Darkness rock!!!, 14 Sep 2003

This song is absolutely fantastic. The music the perfect use of guitars I have heard in a long while, with pretty catchy lyrics and a chorus you find yourself singing and trying to do in the same style and tone as singer Justin Hawkins. I know this song is a big hit with all the people I work with who sing along when it comes on the radio, or when I hook my MD player up to some speakers. Although I'm surprised that some of the people I work with being 40-60 years old love this song, yet don't really like the style of music or the bands other songs.
I personally love this song and only wish the Darkness keep following up with great songs for many years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock on!!, 6 Jun 2003
"Growing on me" is a fantastic slice of '70s/'80s stadium rock. It harks back to bands like T-Rex, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden, and has an uncanny resemblance to songs by Andrew WK. It has a sing-along chorus, complete with falsetto and shouty backing vocals, and ends with a guitar solo that Bill and Ted would be proud of. Although totally unoriginal in terms of content, in a time where the blues rules rock's roost, it is utterly refreshing, silly and even slightly camp. Now where's my spandex catsuit.............?

5.0 out of 5 stars Best rock group in the last 10yrs, 29 Aug 2003
Yes thats a bold claim but it's true. Justin (lead singer) this time last year was unknown, unsigned, and uncared for. now Hes just realeased one of the best records this year, if not one of the greatest rock songs ever. Growing on me is such an energetic song your left feeling tired after hearing it. the guitars are heavy in numbers, justins vocals reach a incredabily high pitch, and this is a true rock song. wow
