Synopsis

This is an OK film about the cold war in Korea. the action scenes are fine and so are the interactions between the characters. There are however problems with one of the basic plotlines, that is, the formation of an all female Ranger Unit (American Special Forces not Scottish football team). The performance of some of the (female) actors is so far over the top that they deserve actors for some of the worst(best) overacting that I have ever seen, they could give masterclasses in it.

This renders a large chunk of the plot improbable and undermines the rest of the film which is enjoyable and reasonably well written and acted. Michael Biehn and Adrian Paul both give good workmanlike performances and are convincing in their respective roles. If the script had been restricted to the storyline that included them (and there is a nice little twist in the tale that you really do not see coming) it would have probably been much the better for it.
