It is a rare event for a sequal to improve on it's predecessor, but Final Destination 2 does just that. It build's and evolves on what made the first film great. This film really is just a powerhouse of thrills and spills. Again all the death scenes are perfectly masterpieced and graphicly protrayed. These factors alone make the film a must see and you will on the edge of your seat straight away after the opened scene which shows the worst highway pile-up diaster you can imagine.

Don't expect to be scared - expect to have a great laugh. The great thing about this film is the premise is already set up and everyone knows that everyone is going to die so the writers just go mad coming up with weirder and weirder deaths! When I went to go see it in the cinema, I didn't hear one scream - just laughs! It's great fun! Buy it and enjoy it!

Similar story to the first final destination film, but this time an avoided pile-up on a freeway could still spell the end for a group of people unless one woman can undo the path that death is taking.
The extras on this region 2 dvd are quite good as well.
A very good sequel that matches the first film for thrills and gore.If you liked the first film you will like the second just as much.

It's been a while since I saw the first Final Destination, and I think probably my experience of FD2 was better for it. Very well made and executed.
The pace of the tension and "what's going to happen next" is kept up very well through the film inducing a sense of both fear and "rubber necking" fascination.
All in all, a good giggle and gore fest, though, thankfully not too much dodgy blood splatter - very authentic, even though sometimes unbelieveable deaths.
The DVD itself features 6.1 sound which, thanks to my friends I was able to enjoy - well worth it. The extras are a bit naff though, particulary the alternate scenes, though admitedly, I didn't watch these with commentary. There is an interesting feature on measuring the audiences reactions to the blood fest. Could have been better with actor interviews, funny outtakes etc.
All in all, a good laugh, though not a particularly intellectually stimulating or challenging film.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the ones that survived the first film? Well here's your chance.
There are a few old charachters appearing in this one.
This has to be the most gruesome film you can see to date under this cert.
This is edge of the seat action from start to finish. Buy it. I promise you won't be dissapointed ! ! ! !

Kimberly Corman has a terrifying vision that a highway pile up will claim her life and that of her friends. Blocking the entrance with her car, Kimberly watches in horror as the crash unfolds, thus saving her life and that of the people in the queue behind her. But the grim reaper is not impressed and he's coming to claim the deaths of all those who should have died in the crash.

For a sequel to truly work well it has to come up with something fresh, otherwise why do a sequel eh? Well the makers of Final Destination 2 choose to use the basic same formula of the hugely enjoyable first film, only adding more black humour into the crazy death design broth. Opening with a quite horrific highway pile up, FD 2 then takes us on a journey that sees an assortment of folk offed in various and gruesome ways. The story remains the same as the first film, even though writers Bress and Gruber think they are being intricate by weaving this plot into the original story, but ultimately it's just a devilishly nonsense fun picture. Ali Larter returns for a second helping, and she in turn is joined by a bunch of no mark actors waiting for death, which is perfectly fine for the genre discerning fan.

This is a riot, and as long as you don't look too deep into it (why would you really?) you may just find yourself having a real good time. 7/10

I enjoyed Final Destination to some extent, and was amazed by how each person in the film died. When I watched Final Destination 2 it blew me away! It was so much better! If you have seen Final Destination and thought it was amazing, good or OK then you must see Final Destination 2! This film could have easily picked up an 18 certificate, for its over the top gore and thrills! The way the deaths have been choreographed is amazing! Even though a lot of the deaths were computer animated this time around take nothing away from the film! An absolute must buy!
