Product Description

Product Description

Headhunter: Redemption is the gripping story of Jack Wade, a veteran Headhunter keeping order in a futuristic world overrun with unchecked consumerism, vicious organised crime and mind-controlling mass media. When Jack and his protégé, the sassy, streetwise Leeza X, stumble upon an arms smuggling operation that threatens the status quo, they must work together to deliver an oblivious world from impending catastrophe, confronting their darkest fears beneath a chilling shroud of evil that blankets the city.

Taking place in a world divided, Headhunter: Redemption features two disparate, symbiotic realities--"Above" and "Below." "Above" is a glittering metropolis of glass and steel towers, whose citizens are controlled by ever-present media and the powerful corporations behind it. "Below" is a subterranean colony, home to criminals, undesirables and misfits, sent down by the society "Above" to work in return for the right to survive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a classic, but not bad either..., 8 Sep 2004
Headhunter Redemption encorporates elements from several gameplay genres, including stealth, 3rd person shooter elements and some fairly straight forward (for the most part) puzzle solving. Each of these components are pretty good, if not spectacular, but what really shines through with this game is the great storyline and atmosphere that is really helped by a fantastic musical score. In spite of a few niggles, most notably the characters annoying habit of sticking to a wall during stealth mode, this game comes together really well and is well worth the 20 - 25 hours or so that you'll need to complete it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only wasted a fiver., 29 Aug 2005
By Phil Poole (Paris, Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
I suppose there was some entertainment value for five quid, but for a game that is only 1 year old this week - it's very poor. The main flaw lies in the movement of the character - there is no control: reminiscent of the dreadful 'Dino Crisis' and even 'Lara goes to Paris'. Maybe I'm just getting old, but in these kinds of games you need control such as that of TR2. Final gripe, the 'Baddies' aren't bad and what's with this 'auto aim' nonsense? I wish to take out whom I wish when I wish. I really can't give this game more than one star, and that's due to the fact that it works when inserted into the Xbox.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sci-fi/Action Game, 28 Dec 2004
Finally managed to play it, has pretty much the same killer gameplay that made the original so great.
The controls are slightly changed and we now have a new character to control, Leeza X and of course the man, Jack Wade who returns am older but still reckless man.
Expect to have great moments of action, crazy shoot-outs, great characters and crazy plot twist around with this game.
Recommended to original Headhunter fans.

The original headhunter, which was on DC and then ps2 was an excellent game. It played like MGS with more style, but didn't have as an engorssing story. Read more
