This is one of Bruce's most underrated thrillers, which at the time, because of the sexual content between him and Jane March, caused much controversy, surprise, surprise!!!
It is quite long, but the characters and the plot hold up well throughout and it is an entertaining ride. Bruce's character is almost similar to the character he played in The Sixth Sense, a psychologist who makes a mistake and it costs him, but in this case, not quite as severely and he's a psychologist, not a child psychologist.
The therapy group is a great mix, with some big names in there, practically an all star cast, Brad Dourif, Lance Henriksen, Lesley Ann Warren to name a few and they're all terrific. One of the things which makes it a fun ride from the beginning however is Bruce's onscreen time with co-star Scott Bakula, until a horrific murder goes down and takes him away from us.
The story is decent, the chase scene is a cracker and the rest of the cast, including the delectable Miss March, who plays a brilliant role herself are all equal contributors. It goes without saying that the scenes between Jane and Bruce are quite racy and steamy, but they work well and the controversy only added to it. The theme song is also sexy and moody.
This is a fine buy and a worthy investment, and I had to pay £13 for it, the Spanish copy, because the cover is the best, but again, more than worth it.

This 1994 dark comedy thriller features Dr. Bill Capa (Bruce Willis), a psychologist who quits his practice and goes to stay with his old college friend Dr. Bob Moore (Scott Bakula) who believes one of his five Monday night patients is out to kill him. When Moore is killed, Capa takes over the sessions. But which one is the killer and who’s next?
Police detective Lt. Hector Martinez (Rubin Blades) brilliantly provides the wise cracking dry humour while the beautiful Rose (Jane March) plays the seductive and mysterious girl who brightens up Capa’ life. The humour really appealed to me and although the ‘suspect’ was easy to identify, the motives were not. The script was clever and provided many false trails as the events unfold.
If you're sensitive to nudity or sex, you may have a problem with this movie as this is the full length version so you get those gratuitous sex scenes that made Maxim magazine vote the film as having the Best Sex Scene in film history [December 2000]. This 2¼ hour version is definitely adults only late night viewing and didn’t seem that long as it maintained a quick and riveting pace. Well worth a ***** entertainment score but a £20 asking price?

What more needs to be said, this movie has Bruce Willis init. The first time I saw this movie was honestly by accident, howeverwhen I noticed Bruce Willis's name in the cast, I had to give it achance. I agree that critics look way too much on the sexualissue. True there are many nude scenes, so if you're sensitive tonudity or sex, you may have a problem with this movie (most criticsseem to have this ...disfunction...). The fact that Willis and Marchhave sex plays an essential role to her psychological being, as wellto his understanding to the tragic reality that is her (and herbrother's) life. This movie is well done. It also gives you a glimpseinto the life of a truly mixed up person, that can overcome any odds, including confusion in one's sexuality, multiple personalities, andeven physical and mental abuse. Jane March does an excellent job aswell. Her portrayal of this confused youth tormented by her olderbrother, who she obviously looks up to, yet she seems to find comfortin an erotic life style with many partners, her favorite partner (andlove) being Bruce Willis, is exceptional. I would definitely watchthis movie again. I highly recommend this movie, along with all otherBruce Willis movies. No matter what critics, or people, say, if amovie has Bruce Willis, it's probably good. And chances are, the morecritics put down a movie, the better it probably is.

a good enough film, a strong cast and plot and and ending that you would never guess. basically willis is a psychiastrist whose peer is murdered and takes on his therapy sessions. however the people start getting bumped off one by one, and its up to willis and a police detective to find out the murderer.

This film is underrated which most people say. It has a good story, pretty well played by all involved but it's the over the top sex that let's it's down. I do agree that in some films you need and can justify a bit of rumpo, but seeing a mans clam digger, as you do in this is a bit OTT. It's not only the sight of flacid tool (not that we want to see it erect) that is uncalled for but the "for the sake of it" glimpse, twice that is of a woman's fur lined love wallet is boring. Apart from all the corny over long nude scenes (sweaty love making to the sound of a sax with close ups!) I quite like the movie and will give it another go to see my views now as I've not seen it in years.

I do have a copy for my Bruce Willis collection, and to be fair to Bruce he did try something different.
