Amazon.co.uk Review

To this point, the famous Plasticine duo Wallace & Gromit haven't featured in a game worthy of their name. Project Zoo, fortunately, is a radical improvement on what's gone before. And while it's not without its flaws, it does deliver rousing fun to its younger target audience.

The simple plots finds the evil Feathers McGraw taking control of the local zoo--and more notably locking up all the infant animals. They need saving and that's where our heroic duo come in. To rescue them, there's an entertaining platform game in the way, with some little diversions and mini-arcade games to keep things ticking along.

It's well put together too: the graphics are strong and the interjections of the two lead characters, especially in the numerous cut scenes, will frequently raise a chuckle. The levels pit you against many of McGraw's gang and, as you'd expect, there are numerous items to collect and lots to explore. A nice added feature is that Wallace can turn some of the objects into some batty invention to help you on your way.

It's a very easy game to get into and while the action won't get your pulse pounding, Project Zoo sets it stall out early as a provider of some good, leisurely, family-friendly entertainment. That it captures the flavour of Wallace & Gromit so well is a very welcome bonus. --Simon Brew

5.0 out of 5 stars Wallace and Gromit - Project Zoo (Xbox), 22 Jan 2004
This game is a very good sequel to the actual TV animations. The graphics, sound and new animation clips are 100% accurate to the original and a must for fans of Wallace and Gromit. The gameplay starts easy and becomes progressively, but enjoyably more difficult. My 5 year old son, Harry, loves it and so does his 41 year old Dad! Even when you do jump into an abyss, the game allows you to continue from a nearby point so no frustration at having to start from the beginning again. Quite simply we and our friends who work together with different skills to complete a level cannot find fault at all. A very good game and well recommended to existing fans or others new to the World of W&G.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wallace and Gromit save the day, 29 Oct 2003
By A Customer
I was initially a little unsure whether or not to buy 'Wallace and Gromit-Project Zoo', but in the end was pleased I did. The game begins with an interesting movie scene showing Wallace and Gromit deciding to visit the zoo. For fans of the films this is good fun in itself. Once at the Zoo you find out the Zoo has been closed and the infamous penguin from 'The Wrong Trousers' makes a reappearence. Time for the game to begin as you investigate the goings on inside the high walls of the Zoo.

The game itself is standard platform variety but the graphics, camera views and control system are good. You play as Gromit with Wallace following along making useful inventions as he goes. The earlier levels are as the first reviewer has said fairly easy as you strive to free trapped animals in the Zoo. Later things become harder but throughout the game is fun. You can save the game at any point so don't have to worry about reaching save points.

A good game for the family, with appeal also for adult fans of the Wallace and Gromit films.

wallace and gromit is a good game the levels are good although they are very difficult which could result in you getting angry
with it. In the missions there are gold coins if you collect them it unlocks some extras. The extras are the episodes of the T.v program wallace and gromit.A good adventure game full of action.
