Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

You and your P800 will never be out of touch with the rest of the world. You can take and store pictures, create and send MMS messages, and even view movies. Experience mobile life in vivid colour.

The P800 is a master of mobile versatility. It’s a digital camera, a video player, an MP3 player and an organizer with a colour touchscreen. It supports polyphonic sound, Multimedia messaging (MMS), Java and BluetoothTM. And you can play 3D games in wide-screen format using the on-screen touch controls. Some say it’s a phone. We say it’s a P800.

The P800 comes with a 16MB Memory Stick Duo plus additional 12MB internal storage space where you can store everything from video clips and your own photo album to polyphonic ring signals and Java applications.

The P800 lets you watch streaming video or video-clips on the go, and create Multimedia messages with photos and sound and send them the minute after. You can also add photos to your contacts to see who’s calling, and design your own wallpaper and screensavers. The e-mail, calendar, contacts and notes applications can be synchronised with Outlook and Lotus Notes on your PC. The P800 handles e-mail with attachments, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat. The P800 also supports GPRS, High Speed Data and WAP 2.0.

Images stored in the P800's photo album are available for other applications to use: snap a picture of your friend and save it as their Incoming Call Picture - next time they call, you'll see their smiling face. Alternatively, use the built-in Image Editor to adjust image size and quality, then combine it with sound and text to make an MMS message – it’s so easy with the P800.

Make the most of your important personal information – now you can take it with you wherever you go. Look up a contact in your address book, then just click the screen to call them. Browse WAP and Web content with the integrated browser. Use Memory Stick Duo to backup or transfer larger files with ease. There’s very little that you can’t see, save, share, or synchronise with minimum fuss.

Just in case the camera isn't entertainment enough, the P800 comes fully equipped with games, sounds, movie clip viewer and enough customisable features to keep you happy for as long as you can handle it. Enjoy the 16-tone polyphonic ringtones. Download or stream music and video content. Use your own pictures as wallpaper. Music to your ears and candy for your eyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cracking phone and an excellent PDA, 28 May 2003
I bought this phone after reading loads of reviews and asking the opinion of colleagues who also had it. Overall, I have not been disappointed. The phone features are very good, the multimedia functions are excellent (video clips of the Matrix Reloaded anyone?) and the PDA facilities are brilliant - it synchronises like a dream with my PC.
I was a bit unsure about buying a new concept technology like this - the combination of phone and PDA is a new one - but I am glad I did. Top marks Sony Ericsson!

5.0 out of 5 stars The P800. Can you live without one?, 5 July 2003

This smartphone is the single greatest achievment since the invention of the mobile phone. It can perform many tasks through its very easy to use menu system. New programs, games, ringtones and much more can easily be added when use wish. The MEMORY STICK DUO supplied with the phone is the perfect addition at 16MB its good for starters although 128MB versions are now hitting the streets and these prove to be very handy for storing VIDEOS (MP4)to be watched at any time. This size of memory also means that alot more of your favourite music can be stored, whether you have downloaded it over GPRS or simply transferred it from PC. All in all this phone is a must buy. It will replace all your portable entertainment, and let you access it all through a lovely colour touch screen. Buy Yours TODAY. You wont be sorry.

    5.0 out of 5 stars What can't it do?, 15 Oct 2003
By Douglas Proctor "hp rocks" (UK) - See all my reviews

What will this phone not do? I am stunned by the number of things this phone can do. The display is stunning, watching videos is unbelievable and the sound awesome! I can forgive the missing predictive text because of all the other things that have been combined into one incredible device.
Recommend this to anyone. I now might be selling my Ipaq as it's redundant. Shame!
