In the realm of country music, self-contained groups have never been the most common denizens of the charts, the formatbeing much more sympathetic to solo artists and duos. However, like Alabama, Sawyer Brown, and a handful others, Lonestar has persevered to become one of the most successful acts on the country scene. This disc, a collection of their most popular songs, stands as a monument to that success. It's filled to the brim with tightly arranged, expertly performed tunes that mix country, pop, and rock while maintaining just the right amount of twang. Lonestar's not afraid of a littlebar-room boogie, as on "You Walked In", or a bit of post-Eagles country pop ("Everything's Changed"). However, they're also proficient in the power-ballad area, as exemplified on picture-perfect radio bait like "Amazed", "I'm Already There" (which in another era could have been an Air Supply hit), and the previously unreleased, spiritually oriented "I Pray".

I had never even heard of Lonestar until I heard the track Amazed on a compilation album. This prompted me to go out last week and buy this album. The musical ability of this band is nothing short of awesome and the lead singer has such a range. I would love to see them live and I am now eager for more of their kind of music. Definately the best album I have purcahsed in many a year. Well done Lonestar!! They are without doubt one of the most versitile bands I have ever had the pleasure to hear.
Give me more lots more and a video!!

Ok so you like a little bit of country but not "the old warbling stuff". You go into the local record store and there's all the old stuff, Tammy Wynette era. Don't get me wrong they have their place but if you fancy a real good singing session in the car get this disc. Absolutely great!
If you've heard of Lonestar but don't know where to start, start here a brilliant cross section of their work and it will/should encourage you to buy more of their stuff. Try it! Buy this one and then open your eyes to fantastic heart felt lyrics.

Lonestar are one of my favourite bands. This CD contains all of my favourite songs, including the one and only "Amazed". My five favourite ones definitely have to be "You Walked In", "Smile", "What About Now", "You Walked In" and of course their major hit "Amazed." Lonestar find a centre point between Country and Pop, their music is relaxing yet upbeat.

Only problem is that the record company is Sony BMG and they put a stupid CD lock on it, to prevent downloading thieves of course but I was outraged when I found I couldn't put the songs onto my iPod. Massively irritated me, as I don't use a CD Walkman or stereo, so I can only listen to it on my computer. Wish I had bought the album from iTunes. Sony should be ashamed.

5 stars for the band, 0 stars for BMG. Have to give it 3 stars overall, but Lonestar deserve more. Keep up the good music.

Bought this for the Amazed track. It's quite good easy listening. Nice to have on in the car. Forget the cheesey cover and the blurb, just enjoy the sounds.
